Recharged is a remix album of recordings by American rock band Linkin Park, released on October 29th, 2013. Like their previous three albums, it was produced by Mike Shinoda and Rick Rubin. Recharged is comprised of remixes based around Linkin Park's studio album Living Things, and is their first remix album since 2002's Reanimation.
Background and Promotion[]
Recharged was officially announced via Linkin Park's Facebook page on September 12th, 2013, along with their LP Recharge game. They revealed its status as a remix album, as well as their collaboration with Steve Aoki, "A Light That Never Comes". Some remixes were previously released with pre-order promotions for Living Things. They also revealed the limited edition version of Recharged, which included a 3D sculpture based on Living Things' artwork, a 48-page booklet, both Living Things and Recharged, and a stylus that reacts to the liquid solution inside of the sculpture.
